LA YMF vs ASCE Student Chapters Annual Softball Game

On Sunday, May 1, ASCE LA YMF played a friendly softball game versus the student chapters, mainly Cal State Northridge (CSUN) and Cal State LA (CSULA). The game has been held annually for several years, and this year it was held at the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks (VNSO) Recreation Center. Warm-ups began at 11 am. The game started by noon and was over a bit after 1 pm. Graduating seniors got a round of applause as congratulations for their upcoming commencement. Subway sandwiches were provided for all. This year, LA YMF got off to an early lead and held it throughout, taking possession of the trophy. Both of LA YMF's sports chairs and several LA YMF players from LA County DPW played a key role in the team's success.
