Engineers Week 2025

Our Engineers Week celebrations consist of 5 days of jam-packed K-12 outreach! Check out this year's activities!

Elementary School Day

Engineers Week kicked off at Los Angeles City Hall where over 90 elementary school students got to experience a City Council meeting before making shake structures in a gelatin foundation!

Middle School Day

Over 100 middle school students heard from a space engineer and a leader in renewable energy at the La Kretz Innovation campus.

Girl Day

Over 100 girls from 4 scholastic female empowerment programs came to the Metropolitan Water District headquarters, where they heard from various women in water engineering before building water filters.

High School Day

ASCE LA YMF co-hosted over 120 high school students with the Cal State LA student chapter where they heard from STEM professionals and participated in a cost-constrained structure building activity.

Girl Scouts Day

ASCE LA YMF co-hosted over 60 girl scouts at Cal Poly Pomona. The girls heard from a Girl Scout-turned- engineer (Celeste Chan, our ex-SNJF chair!), built aluminum boats, and got a tour of the engineering labs.
